We dont need DW4 to run a lot in this one

One reason being he dont need to be taking free shots by these guys, because they will be hitting hard. Second reason being the weakness of this defense is QB's throwing outside the pocket. I say we need to get him out the pocket, hit short crossing patterns and let our playmakers do their thing. Another thing is I dont see a linebacker they have that can cover Leggette. If we try to ram it up the middle and keep DW4 sitting in the pocket, it could be a long day. We have a team built that can beat Bama if we stick to a good game plan. We dont need to feed into what they defend best, we need to keep them on their toes and open up the deep ball. GO TIGERS!!!!

Alabama has a GREAT defense, but for the love of goodness...

...we are not going to stop doing what has made us so good.
DW will run, he will get his yards. It may come at end of game now v early, it may not.
Our OC(s) have done a great job of managing games, not necessarily taking what a defense gives us....but taking what we want. If they line up to stuff the run, as we will to them...then we'll throw more. If they hold the edge and don't rush past the QB...we will likely roll out and run/pass is again an option.
For the love of pete this great defense (and it is) gave up points to FLORIDA & AUBURN.
Mich St offense actually is THAT BAD.

Though I cringe every time DW runs, he will have to run to

beat Bama. Probably a lot. Bama is going to try to take away Gallman. They will likely press our WRs and try to jam them at the line of scrimmage to get them off their routes and take away the quick sideline passes. That leaves us with spreading them out, try to hit some big passes and if they aren’t open, DW take off. Our line needs to handle the pass rush, RBs pick up the blitz (they did great against OU, but Bama is a different animal), and our WRs need to be very physical. I think DWs deep passing and his running will be the key to our offenses success. For our D, I think they will be fine as long as they aren’t left out on the field all night. Get some 3 & outs, don’t give up many long drives and our offense getting first downs is their key. Hopefully holding them to FGs instead of TDs will also be great. I do like our chances, but this is “The Man”. And to be the man, you gotta beat the man. Whooooooo! Go Tigers!!!

Agreed. I just dont like the designed run against Bama. I dont want to see DW4 put into situations where he has to drop the shoulder against some of these monsters. I like our chances as well.

When they played Texas they sent blitz after blitz until they knocked Colt McCoy out of the game .,
I am sure they will try to hurt Watson ,.
