We are moving the ball up and down the field but

getting no points. Points wins games. Needed 20 last Saturday but only got 14. One TD in first half and one in second half. We put on an excellent drive to start the second half then went brain dead.

We hit a brick wall and go simple Jack every time we get around the opponents 25 yard line. Idk what it is, but we just make everything look so hard the closer we get. I've always been a fan of the seam route right up the middle with our 6'6" TE....but we don't like to make it easy.

The problem is that we can't consistently run the ball, and it shows when we get down around the 20 yard line. Ultimately, the teams that are able to finish drives are the ones that can run the ball down there. Are tight ends are pretty good, but they're not as dominant as you think that they are.

Right! Let them make plays. Sling it. It’s so frustrating.

We were driving for the win and pretty much had a tie and OT in our pocket...

until Cade did the one thing he absolutely could not do and that was turn the ball over. Talk about brain dead!

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Yep. A pass to anyone else would have made more sense. Or a run by Cade might have been good. Why toss it carelessly to Mafah, the guy with the least effective hands and probably the slowest guy, especially lately?

Big numbers for yardage between the 20 yard line = Participation Trophy stats

Don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m over it when it comes to Clemson FB bragging about our gaudy offensive output stats for those numerous games when we don’t convert red zone opportunities.

We’ve been in this mode for two consecutive years. The only salvaging factor for 2021 and (to a lesser degree in 2022) was B.T. Potter’s extraordinary FG kicking performance.
