And lose every game but UGA. Aren't many teams I enjoy seeing lose more than GT.

GT is my most-hated conference team. It used to be a tie between them and UVA, but I've lost some of my active hatred for UVA since we barely play them anymore. But I hate seeing GT succeed in any capacity in any sport. The only time I root for them is when they're playing an SEC team or FSU, and the latter is purely for divisional title purposes.

5-4 will become 5-5 as the talent separation since Brent

Arrived and of course, the coaching has been attack and it works. Our DL has made a living in their backfield.
Last year Paul threw his players under the bus at halftime saying they weren't executing his game plan, said he was baffled. Why not be honest and not put it on kids you knew couldn't compete at that level with and without losses.
Money's good..lol
I believe it will be another frustrating day for Paul.

Exactly, we had trouble stopping their option game until Venables got here.

Even Wofford and App St. had more butts in the seats. GT was 2-3 when they came to DV so that may explain it.

Had a lot to do with the low attendance. I was really glad I went! It was a lot of fun watching the Tigers drag the Nerds up and down the field.

and ND was also thought of the biggest game in Death Valley in recent memory at that point; it's apples to oranges to compare those games.

No it isn't. GT has been our second biggest game of the year after FSU for decades.

The Clemson game is "Whiteout" for GT? It seems more likely to me that it will be "Orange-out" in the ATL. I hope Clemson wears all orange and the Tech fans wear white so the stadium will be all Orange and white. Poor planning by GT.

Like always except the year Cole gave them the game the refs always play a big part in ATL. I will never forget the holding call in 2009 I believe after we came back and was about to take the game over.

The only two holding calls in that offensive linemans career (name escapes me) came against GT on phantom holding calls that brought a TD back and also a catch inside the 10 yard line. Both were the difference in each game.

Yep I can't think of his name either, I was at the game and when we punted after the hold. You just knew GT was going to win.

Have no mercy on the ramblin' wreck. I hope we hold them to 50 yards rushing this year.

You can use injuries as an excuse, lack of experience or whatever you pull out of a tree but I believe a lot of teams have learned how to beat an option team that starts at the line of scrimmage. Defensive lines are lining up about 1/2 to 1 yard more off the line. The option team offensive line blocking is based on timing. With the defense off the ball some you have time to read the play more and react to attempted blocks and attack the ball. As long as the defense doesn't over react and stay in position the option game is all but exposed. If Paul Johnson is allowed to stay with the jackets past this year he can rest assured his record against the Tigers will wind up being a losing one. Hmmmm, maybe that's just another reason "slurrier" left the chickens scratching in the dirt.
