I realize people are looking at Dabo, Coordinators, and players. At the end of the day I see a young team not doing the small things correctly to be champions. We are missing blocking assignments, making dangerous throws, and taking poor angles on setting up blocking and tackling. I loved the fight in this team on Saturday. Make sure you let our guys know how much we appreciate them this week after a tough loss. All the things holding us back can be fixed with little growing up, back to basics, and holding on to the ball.

If this team stays together, they will be very good next year. Got a lot of very good young talent. Also have a very good kicker coming in.

Pretty sure this was the narrative before and after hiring Riley. “We just need an OC upgrade and we’re good.” Not quite playing out like that. We have core issues that need to be addressed. Until they are, expect the continued slow and steady decline that we’ve seen in past few years.
