Tigernet, you need to go to Clemson Insider for an honest assessment of the spring game and the QB position. They call it like it is. And as a fan with open eyes, its same as we all saw, and the nation saw, last year. DJ, unfortunately, isn't an elite QB and he isn't going to be one. So, let's all move on from all the coach speak that's been thrown out by Dabo and the coaches about DJ this spring! We're 8-4 with DJ at the helm.

It’s going to be a lot of hurt and upset Clemson fans next season win DJ trots out there the starter every game next year. I’m not trying to be funny but I feel like that’s going to happen. Unless DJ gets hurt we will be a run first team next year.

I mean we started wining football games last year when we started running the football. Cade is the better option but it will take historically bad for him to get the start. We don’t have Tee Higgins and hunter Renfrow out here running routes like Trevor had his freshman year.

Yea but we lost those before they figured out they needed to be run first. I’m good with it. We have a few studs. Get them the ball.

freshman QB becomes the starter. He was rated the #1 QB in the country in 2022.

I just want the loyalty and politics out of it and give it to the best one that will give us a chance to win the most games. I agree with another poster that stated that DJ will more than likely transfer out if he does lose his spot.

I agree - I hope the best player starts. I don’t think that DJ transfers mid-season. If he has struggled enough to lose the job I doubt anyone is going to promise him a starting position and I do think he is a pretty smart kid who would realize that would be a bigger risk that finishing the season then transferring during the off-season.

If the same QB as last year, that’s all we will be able to do. Loyalty is one thing but .. you don’t sink the ship because of it. A run only game won’t win our side of the ACC (again).
Start the best QB period.

Dabo wants to win. The fun is in the winning.
My take from the 50 yard line today was both QB's played averagely against Defenses that were much more talented than the Offenses. The important difference is CK2 has been in Tigertown for 3 months and DJ for 2 years and three months. And no discernible difference beyond CK's better mobility, touch and accuracy.
I was surprised with the friendly ovation given to CK on his 1st series by the modest crowd in Death Valley today.
