A lot of WCCP talk and complaining about callers, etc.
How would you fix WCCP? I agree that it is crazy having 4 local shows in a day. All of the shows are caller driven so we get the same 7-10 idiots that call each show.
My thoughts:
6-9- Have a morning drive local show
9-12- Dan Patrick
12-3- another national show
3-6 afternoon local drive

his format got old in the '90's,early. if your school isn't in socal , it isn't worthy of being in his topics to discuss. his jungle is nothing more than a stand of scrub oaks.

I like the way it is. Clemson Sports during Football Season. And a good dose during Baskketball and baseball. Not many can listen all day so when people have opportunity its nice to be able to turn on Clemson. I can get national stuff on my phone if I ever wanted to. Some of the same callers are annoying but that always goes in cycles.

You would rather go National than hear more about the Tigers, that you can only get by Local Talk.
Do you realize how few Sport Talk stations have Four live and local shows? AND...you gotta go BIG Market to get it.

Qualk ' s gotta go. He rambles, can't stay on topic and pushes topics out. Tries to cover too much.
Roy is good but won't be around being a budding Play-by-play guy. Other two are servicable.

The other issue with National Shows is it's a bunch of fat bald short guys
calling in to talk about some boring stats from baseball. I swear to God it's like
watching grass grow.

he is good to listen to when doing lists or discussing things around the country. I just hate when he gets on his rants and repeats the same thing again and again. Like yeah i hate UGA but I am really tired of him ranting about Georgia every single day and saying the exact same things

I don't really care to hear their nil talk right now.
I think Qualk's show should be reconsidered. He is good but him without Dutch is really hard to listen to and his two new assistance just aren't cutting it.

There are some local stations that have national guys already. Broadcast range for those stations isn't good. O like the mostly Clemson talk on WCCP. Some on TNet would complain about any show. Mackey's alright-minus the fishing report on Fridays before games.
Qualk's show just needs some structure.
Roy's show sounds very professional.
Walt-like him or not-you're still going to listen to him.

People complained about that so I guess you get what you ask for.
Personally, I don't mind Rome or his show. He is like an upscale Colin Cowherd IMO. Yes his style is arrogant and brash, but look at what you have now, Walt is a Cowherd/Rome wannabe; basically an arrogant persona on the air, but without the good interviews that a big show can get...
You have to understand that these guys are in the entertainment business, they go with what works for them. If you want a guy just droning on about facts and scores and statistics then you're better served just going online and looking at the facts and scores there.
I think there is value in having local guys on the air, but that value diminishes greatly when the four guys are just regurgitating the same info and adding their non-existent "takes" and boring personalities.

He is definitely one of the better guys that WCCP has on the roster, which is not saying much.
I think one national show would be ok, then combine the best guys you have left over for your local and regional coverage.
What ever happened to the Packman? (Mark Packer) I guess he is strictly on XM/Sirius now right?

it was local but not super local so it was a change from all the Clemson stuff all day. The QCB was highly entertaining IMO and the whiner line was great (which Roy has since copied and called the Hater Hotline, but is not nearly as good)

Move Philpot to the 3-7 time and extend Plyler from 6-10. Have more people on each show and keep most of the personalities. The ESPN channel has the right idea, I just dislike Josh, though I like to hate him. He gives enough locker room material and I like Clemson proving him wrong.
