Something I would like to see get built at Clemson...

and I would be willing to do my part and donate towards the construction of an actual Clemson Sports Hall of Fame and museum, maybe sell bricks or something to donors. A museum that is open to the public. They can charge a small entrance fee to help pay the bills for the facility.
I would love to be able to take family and friends to see all of our Bowl Championship trophies and trophies of other sports. Maybe have some interactive experiences, maybe a restaurant with memorabilia. Kind of like the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta but for Clemson athletics. The restaurant could have an outdoor area to show away games for football or other sporting events.
I believe at one time there was talk of a museum and restaurant, but it obviously never happened.

Bit of a trophy nerd, would love to see it be easier for all the hardware collected by Clemson teams to be viewed publicly, as well as something to honor all the Clemson greats in every sport over the years (including sports that have been discontinued over the years)
Knew the FB program had planned on doing a add-on to front of Reeves Complex to create a public display for all the hardware, but that was before covid hit. Between that & the new sports add, bet that took a back seat or got nixed altogether.

I know because they replaced all the old plaques with new one's and mailed me my dad's old plaque. Not sure where it is. Used to be around the stadium somewhere I believe

Not promoted. I'd like to see your plan with the restaurant etc and where famous people like stripper could loan his old plaque and former memorabilia in the restaurant with comments and stories so people could read that too. In addition to the official stuff in the museum. Would be cool to donate bricks that future fans could see their own family history of bricks... all while providing the costs.

But that's not good enough. A place that is open to the public more hours, is what we need and should have.

Take it a step further, and make sure it is not legally

connected to Clemson University. Then, the revenues it generated could legally be used for NIL deals, in this new college football landscape. All a kid would have to do is make a commercial standing in front of it, saying "I hope to be in there someday", and they get handed a fully legal NIL check.

Great idea. What would need to do to make it happen. Love the nil tie in. That alone should raise funds to build it. Just like any museum.

I think that the football center should be opened for the public a few times a year. It is an amazing structure and really should be available for the fans to visit. Nothing like it in college sports I’m sure.

I would like to see a statue plaza outside the stadium with Frank Howard, Danny Ford and Dabo someday.

Agreed. I like the unnamed statues over at Reeves but would like some names statues in front of The Valley.

I guess you could do it on the cheap by reopening Edgars and kicking out the Apple computer shop for a trophy room. ?

On serious note: hasn’t Dabo already advocated for a Clemson Sports Museum? If so, I would think there is probably a committee exploring the idea.

Way back when….

Dinosaurs walked, I remember seeing the trophies on display in the old Fike forks house when the bball team played there. I remember the Orange Bowl trophy was so impressive. Of course back then there weren’t nearly the number of trophies there are now but I guess that’s the last time I’ve seen them.
This is a terrific idea. How do we get it off the ground?

Jervey used to have the trophies on display back in the early 80s for anyone to see.

It’s called the Paul Bryant Museum. Would love to see us have one like that.
I’m pretty sure Kentucky basketball does too. I’m sure a lot of others do as well.
