When they had the chance. I think both of those guys would turn out wins with those offenses. Always gotta love the retreads that keep getting chances to be mediocre. But hey the ##### have never been much for perennial wisdom when it comes to football.

To defend a shamecock for once, what's Ray Tanner gonna do? No good coaches wanted to coach at that piece of $hit school. Everyone turned him down. He had to settle on his 9th option. Kinda funny actually.

Considering the last 2 coaches at USC were HOF, your argument is pretty weak.

becoming a pariah to the NCAA because of the incessant cheating.
Spurrier fled the lynch mob in Washington after dragging the Redskins to the outhouse cellar. Every 'Skins fan, every sports columnist, and everyone associated with the Redskins organization was glad to see him go.
There's no question 3 years of Spurrier's tenure in chickenville were the best of chickengoodtimes---but he abandoned the program at a time when they desperately needed a strong leader and arguably left it in worse shape than he found it.

Herman looked at the #### suckers talent level and realized no one on the dirtpeckers roster would make his two deep.
