On acc network tonight is really encouraging. Good playing and great coaching. How long can this last with college sports being changed so drastically? I hate to see amateur sports destroyed by money! Agree?

Congrats on the bowl win. Just curious about what you found encouraging. A win is always better than a loss but Clemson needed a last second score to beat a pedestrian 7-5 Kentucky team. A Kentucky team that loss to the SEC's best (Georgia and Bama) by a combined 100-34.

2018 Tigers beat the best Bama offense 44-10 if we do this. I think a month to prepare is far more significant to the score than a regular season week.
Just hope your Dawgs are ready for what is about to hit them in the mouth!

I'm not sure of the point you're trying to make. Clemson had a month to prepare for Kentucky and found themselves in a nailbiter. UGA and Bama had a week to prepare for Kentucy and boat raced them.
We'll see what happens on August 31. I feel very confident that Kirby will field a focused team, looking to make a statement. Maybe Clemson wins, but it won't be because the Dawgs have overlooked them or are over-confident.

I know this is bait, but I will play.
It was encouraging because we saw a lot of young players compete. The same young players that will be starters and significant contributors this year. We may have had a month to prepare, but with opt outs and injuries, we were missing a lot of veterans. We weren’t as decimated as FSU, but we also didn’t play like FSU.
Our defense had a lot of busts in that game, but our young talent got a chance to compete. We gave up a few inexcusable touchdowns, but also forced game changing turnovers. We feel like our defense will be just as good, if not better, this year and that game helped prove it. It also provides real life tape and coaching situations to make these guys even better.
On offense, we saw the guy who is our #1 RB this year take over as a dominant force after Shipley got injured. We also saw Cade lead an impressive 2 minute drill with multiple clutch throws to get the win. He did this in spite of losing most of his starting WRs for one reason or another and having a porous OL in front of him.
Every sensible Clemson fan realizes this year will likely come down to better OL play, a more dependable and decisive QB, and Production from our WRs. Hopefully Luke will help tremendously with #1, which should lead to #2. #3 will come down to staying healthy and production from 2 freshman coming in this year.

No bait. A genuine question. A win is a win and always better than the alternative.

leave leg humpin cousin kisser - no one values your staffers that kill players opinions
having lived in athens for six years, I witnessed what campus looks like after a football Saturday - and it resembles the fan base, full of trash
it got so bad they had to make an initiative and president priority to get the trash to dispose of their trash

Sure, I'll leave but first I have to know...
What does "no one values your staffers that kills players opinions" mean? I guess bourbon isn't just for breakfast anymore.

Have to be made at Clemson before they return to being a front page football team! Clemson has the coaching staff but they lack the financial backing to bring a competitive team to the playing field every Saturday. Great coaching, great facilities, great fan following, will mean very little when you line up against a pro team. IF you are a top high school QB will you go the Clemson to play for coach Swinney or another school to play for a million bucks??????

The last drive, Riley had the offense in hurry up. With the addition of the new receivers, UGA will be facing an entirely different offense than the majority of what is on tape from last season. The game will boil down to who controls the line of scrimmage. For some reason, I feel that Clemson will win the game.

I wasn’t impressed with much other than the last drive and Mafah.
Sorry but that was a bad Kentucky team that we just barely beat. Nothing impressive about that.
