While I believe we're capable of doing it...we just don't have the arms...we don't beat Kentucky at noon sadly enough. The wind was taken out of their sail tonight.

Reminds me of the when we lost the heartbreaker to UT at home in like 2023 and then come out completely flat the next day and lost pretty convincingly to Charlotte. I wouldn’t be surprised if the wind was just completely taken out of their sales and they laid an egg tomorrow. But I’d LOVE to be wrong and I’ll eat a huge plate of crow if I am.

They posted a stat on ESPN. Something like 83 or 86% of 2-0s make it the supers

During one of the broadcast from other games. Not saying it’s true, but that’s what I heard when they were throwing stats out.

I figured it would be a pretty low chance for us. Having to win 3 vs only 1 is huge. The bats will have to come to life.

It seems to happen in at least one or two regions every year. Especially when it’s an underdog team who starts 2-0 and the better team is able to beat them twice in a row.

Yeah you’re right, and that math checks out for sure. 1-2 every year is right on par with ESPN’s stat about 80 something percent advancing.

Either have to get really hot with the bats or somehow limit pitch counts with quick innings. Lots of early count ground outs and fly balls.

Seems like a really steep hill to climb with this teams lack of pitching depth and hitting. Stranger things have happened but I wouldn't bet on it.
