Greatly. We are the same team as last year minus some shooters. That doesn't make for a great team. we'll be lucky to make the NIT I believe. You have to get scorers. Nebraska had several, we have one.

The Miss St and u5cjr games may give some indication, but completion of half the ACC schedule likely will provide a better assessment.

Hard to tell tonight because the whole team seemed

like they were just slow and out of sorts. Looked like they'd all just had to much turkey and ham for lunch.

Two close losses to two probable tourney teams

I'd certainly rather win them, but as they say, they are losses that don't kill you in March come selection time.
Need practice time with Eli on the court, and really need to start working through him more. Reed and Mitchell need to find their stroke from 3.
Newman and Tyson need to grow up quick for depth. Need William or Jemison to get healthy for another big body. Nebraska is a good team. Palmer is a first rounder. My biggest concern is they start pressing. We'll be alright I believe though. Brad has a pretty strong track record of seeing his teams improve as the year goes on.
Need to avoid losing in a bad game to one of the good mid majors we have scheduled, beat the coots, and if we can beat Miss St, we're in great shape heading to January.
When the non conference is done, we'll have played probably 6-7 teams that wind up in the tourney.

I would say they are NOT playing with the same intensity ...

as last year.
Again, I refer to the lollygag.
Now the last five minutes of the game last night, they showed they CAN play ... came back from like eight down and seemed to dominate. But 2 points short ...
My question is, why did they wait to the end to get "serious" ?
I say play like mad men early, get a good lead, and then hit the throttle as needed to maintain the cushion, cause I know you can't play like ancient berserker's the whole game ... you get tired

Very much so - very poor inside play on offense and defense - big men not blocking out and taking rebounds - just not tough enough play with our inside game - and very few transition buckets - all spell very poorly for this team - total team did not show up very large in last five minutes of the game.......
