It looks like the retaliation has begun and will be felt by US farmers in particular with the tariffs imposed by China. Canada's prime minister Justin Trudeau imposed tariffs on $107 billion of American goods, beginning Tuesday stating "tariffs will remain until US trade actions are withdrawn," as per Times Now.

What tools are available to address rising inflation and declining GDP a.k.a. stagflation?

According to Buffett, "You always have to ask that question in economics. You always say, And then what?”

accounting for over 350 billion in Imports from the US, or roughly 14% of our GDP. What do you think happens when they begin boycotting American made goods?

It would be closer to 1.4% of our GDP, but they are indeed the largest purchaser of US goods. They account for 17% of US exports, and they've already started boycotting.
