It’s going to be a challenge, as Wake has veterans and a very good coach. Their plan is to come in and win.
I’d love to see us run away with it like a 82-24 type game but we’ll see. It would do wonders for our offense.

or I would be mildly concerned. Well, then there is that slow mesh play, Goodwin never did have any answers.

Last time they came to Clemson it was the opposite.

Well, kinda. We stonewalled Wake for the first quarter as they tried to run the ball, which they couldn't at all.
Wake did not actually start to move the ball till 5 minutes till the half, but put up 10 quick points.
We basically held them at arms length the rest of the game as they abandoned the run completely.
Kobe Pace had his best day as a Tiger and was the leading rusher.

Ga Tech beat them by a couple of TDs at Wake 2 weeks ago and then promptly lost to Bowling Green the next week. They probably keep it competitive in the 1H but I think we blow right by them in the 2H.

The only reason this is a close game is if the Tigers treat this like a work Friday before a 3 day weekend.
Griffiths has completed less than 60% of his passes and has been sacked 18 times.
Jahmal Banks, he's 6'4" and had 9 TDs last year. He went for 6-141-2TDs against the Tigers last year.
Jacob Roberts, TR from NCA&T, zero sacks his entire career there. He has 5 already this year.
Jasheen Davis has 4.5 sacks this year.
Wake had 10 sacks against Old Dominion. Yeah, not a top tier opponent but be aware.
Game Thoughts:
If Wiggins is out, I think they do everything thing they can to isolate Banks and throw it to him until Lukus and Jones prove they can stop it. I don't think Wake has any answer on defense. DJU had a big yardage and TD game last year. He only completed 63% of his passes. This game was ugly on both defensive ends. The Tiger secondary is much improved. Wake no longer has Hartman. I don't think it's a blowout but should be a comfortable Tiger win. 48-27.

The only reason I think they get there is it is homecoming and Dabo will try to break his record for number of players getting in the game. A couple of late mop up TDs.

If we go back to our T/O heavy offense and J.Weitz’s prior misses give him the yips moving forward, then Wake will be a tough game for us.
As for our D, Wake’s S.Hartman-less slow mesh offense has gotten too slow. Our D will obliterate Wake’s O.
