If he left on his own accord (even with a gentle yet firm push out the door) then it’s really up to him to make the announcement. Or his new school can make the announcement in their “other news and notes” section of their website where they announce things of little importance.

There are sources and there is “the source.” When “the source” (aka Dabo) is ready to put everything out for everyone to know, then the news will hit the front page. Until then, Hood and others will report what their sources are telling them. I can assure you, though, for David to report as emphatically as he did; his sources are pretty confident in what they shared.
