liberty who was anihlated by usuc.
the absoloute collapse in the acc tourny.
the lack of any kind of urgency.
not even getting to play your hateful rivals,and just maybe bump them from the tourney - NOT.
basically giving usuc the red carpet to the super regionals.
whether or not its jack or the other coaches the atmosphere around the baseball program is stale or stagnet at best.
in other words other teams progress but we are not we seem to take a step forward and three steps back.even when times we good and we would go to omaha,what happend?
choke is what happend.

the 16 regionals. They are probably better than more than 1 3 seed according to some pundits.

But still, this was regarded as possibly the hardest regional. It stinks but you can't be hell bent on firing your coach because he made the playoffs.

The losses are just one more step in what appears to be a continually downward progression that started a couple of season ago and therein lies the problem IMO.

that finished 5th in the Big South behind Campbell, Coastal Carolina, High Point, and Radford.
They were 7th in team batting and 6th in team pitching.

see that is what concerns me. other than the good run we were weak early and late. Probably this is who we are. So all this "we're young and improving" stuff is mostly the wishful thinking orange glasses talk you see here. reality seems to suggest we will be pretty average the next few years unless we get a little more edge and better fundamentals than we have now.

I think Jack needs to coach from the bench. Let someone else coach third base. Maybe a change is something we need. Someone who is going to be more aggressive with the base running.
Just a thought.
