I agree with you that more teams playing non cupcake teams and more Power 5s slated against each other would make the picture less subjective. However, aren't you the one who said the HUNH was dangerous for players? That equals more plays and more opportunities for injuries. Then how can you call for additional games with a straight face? Wouldn't more games equal more plays? In case you didn't hear him; he mentioned no cupcakes, more crossover games in and out of conference. More games in general.

I believe that there needs to be some sort of side fund that the "big boys" set aside and this money be distributed to the "little guys" without playing games against each other. That way the small schools get the needed funds and a game or two a year is not wasted within the schedules of the Power 5s/Group of 5.

Yes he did. Nick Saban straight up said more games in his interview. He said more conference and out of conference games. You can't get both by dropping one game. And, Power 5s can't drop all Group of 5s. It is the "sub divisions" (whatever the term is for the Furmans and so on) games that need to go.

and Mercer; Clemson played 4 OOCGs including Kent State & Citadel.

So each faced 2 non-Power 5, non-conference teams.

If Power 5s are not going to play Group of 5s then there needs to be another set of subdivision. As it is there is a need for these two to play.

Alabama also played Colorado State, and gave up 23 points.
