do we have to go undefeated to be able to win the nc? I am concerned that playing in a conference that has gone 3-14 in the bcs games era will hurt us. I wish some other teams in this conference would be more football oriented rather than basketball. I think Miami will be better this year hopefully but overall it doesn't look much better. vt seems to down and may replace beamer if they don't get better. we have become the big east in mentality about basketball. my opinion is that Clemson will never care as much about basketball as the rest of this country and it is hurting us and will continue to in football.

I think we can lose to UGA and still have a shot.

But that's the only loss.
A loss to FSU....out.
A loss to coots...out.
A loss to anyone else...out.

It would surprise me to find ugay's d good enough to win that conference.
If they beat us and lose 3 or 4 games that would kill us in the polls. We'd have to settle for the Orange if we could remain undefeated through the CCG.

You would have to suspect that a one loss Clemson gets easily jumped by a one loss SEC. If more than one SEC team goes one loss or undefeated, then I think one loss Clemson is out. The only sure-fire way to get in would be to go undefeated. Either that or the other one loss SEC team loses literally right as the season is about to end.

pundits are beginning to realize that most of the country is getting pretty sick and ### tired of having the sec threw down our throats. they have gotten away with it for a couple of extra years, already, and they are seeing the writing on the wall. between the tv sets of the acc footprint and the big10 footprint, the sec is hoping and praying they don't have a letdown. if they ever slip, there is no way they will ever get back to the level they are now.

always given us credit, when due, ranking us right up there...and vice versa. The fact remains that we have a better reputation for various reasons than some people realize, and I don't worry about the freaking ACC, SEC or the rest of those people...and haven't for nearly 50 years following The Tigers.
IN MY OPINION we can play with any team on the horizon...even Ala-farkin'-bama. Period.

to guarantee we get there. MAYBE we squeak in if we lose to Georgia in OT and a lot of other chips fall in place for us, but I wouldn't bet on it. We'd need FSU and the Coots' only losses to be to us as well.

In my opinion, I think the NC game will be the SEC champ vs. The next highest ranked team. I feel that is somewhat earned (as much as it pains me to say). Say Bama wins the SEC and we are ranked 2-3 I think were in. Our blessing is that we play the top 2 contenders from the SEC East, so we will have a leg up after we beat the coots and dogs in the head to head. If we lose 1 game this year I think we are out. Ohio st and oregon should be undefeated until the end and would leap a 1 loss ACC team.
NC prediction: Bama vs. Ohio st.
Clemson wins the ACC easily.

years in a row, right. that trumps what 'bama has done, which will be pretty dang hard. i just don't see no losses for two straight years, that hasn't been accomplished much in the history of cfb!
