with Texas since getting into the playoffs would be harder but it worked out for Texas. Makes wonder the same for us if we leave the ACC- will we be an Oklahoma or a Texas?

Do you recall his ability to stop the Ga Tech triple option? He should be able to handle the level of athleticism at the Naval Academy. Can OU score any points?

It could be a frustrating dogfight. If they fire him because he and his depleted team lost a game against a very scrappy Navy team will speak a lot of volumes

Unlikely. I'd be surprised if Navy wins. Venables has typically done well versus running teams. I've also been disappointed in the performance of the military academies against decent teams (I acknowledge categorizing OU as a decent team this year)...

If Oklahoma had lost to Alabama and then lost today, then Venables ### would be grass, buyout or not. I think he bought himself one more year with the win against Alabama + firing Littrell. That said, if Navy were to beat them badly, it wouldn't shock me if the boosters still pulled the trigger. Those fan bases don't play around.

He’s got a lot of good transfers coming in including the Washington state QB who I think is the truth. The offense has been the problem imo. I think if he can get the play makers on offense like they saying he’s goin to be just fine. Go Tigers!!!
