but there was NO WAY u5c was going to schedule a game against a Power 5 opponent with ANY CHANCE of beating them.

Either USC or N.C. State would have had to give up a home game if they played each other since the make up games were due to cancelled home games. Think they tried to reschedule Marshall but Marshall wouldn’t agree to it since they were still in the hunt to play a conference championship game that day. Akron could beat the ##### though. Terry Bowden is a solid coach
