One of the goals of the non conference basketball schedule this year was to play better competition and that was certainly the case today. Memphis is a tournament team and this is already their 3rd win against ranked teams this year. Going on the road against a good team and playing well, with a chance to win, is a big confidence builder for our guys.

Agreed. Losing to Loyola, SC and Louisville kept us out of the real tournament last year

While Memphis is a good game to schedule - Bama too - but most of our schedule thus far has been weak. That said, the team is playing well.
