GOOD NEWS!!!!
we're conditionally approved for the study. We've got to get some CT's done so they can make precise measurements of the tumors, where they are, etc. If safe enough, they'll try to get some tissue samples to evaluate as well.
As soon as that's complete, we're supposed to get into it full-bore. We're excited to have this God-given opportunity. As i told my Dr. during the consultation, if ONE person benefits from my participation, it is worth it for sure.
Thanks for all the responses from Sunday Night's post. Tigernet is just chocked full of caring people. Sandy and I do appreciate each and every one of you for your prayers and concern.

We knew a friend who was supposed to get into a trial at the Mayo Clinic while hospitalized at the Ohio State Medical Center two years ago...but unfortunately, he just couldn't get well enough to qualify.

Great news and good luck from yet another survivor! You can do this! Keep up the positive attitude. I think it really makes a big difference. I never once allowed myself to think the treatments would not work. I just assumed they would! I am 20 years out now so I imagine treatments are much more advanced now. Have faith. God is in control!

I am assuming they are going to give you a broncoscopy to get some tissue samples. If they do, heads up, they give you a paralytic which will make everything (your whole body) hurt for one full day and then it lets up and you are good to go your third day. My dr didn’t tell me this and was a little shocked.
Again prayers with you and fight the bad fight.
