Update on Prayers for my Grandson

First of all, thanks for all your prayers and support for my family and grandson yesterday. After being given IVs and blood last night, he had his tests today. The DR diagnosed him with Ulcerative Colitis. He has a long row to hoe but now we all know what was causing his bleeding and the direction to go.
Happy 15th Grandson #2!

Yep, at least knowing the problem helps the Dr's in constructing the best treatment plan!!! It's guessing that Dr's sometimes do when they're not exactly sure that keeps me on the edge.

Thank goodness you all have gotten an answer for this scary situation. Wasn't it a blessing that he was getting that check up and the Dr caught it quickly. Now he can begin working towards healing.

Hey it’s not the end of the world. He will need good insurance as the meds are really expensive. My wife was originally diagnosed with ulcerative colitis but later determined to be Chrones. Pretty much same thing just spreads completely through the digestive track. The good news is the meds of today are really really effective. Good luck and know it’s that with proper medication it can be controlled very well.

Bless his heart! I'm sure he feels awful but thank the Lord it was wasn't something far worse. We'll continue to pray as he heals and moves forward.

Been wondering all day. So glad to hear they have a diagnosis and can get him treated. Thank God for annual physicals and good medical care. And your grandson.

That's really good news! Ulcerative colitis can be treated and managed, so that has to be a relief for Grandpa.
