Friday night, went to Shoeless where I ran into some of Celtic's tailgating crew. Hadn't seen them in a very long time, great to catch up and we had a could of beers Celtic would have loved.
Saturday, up to Clemson to help a buddy finish off cooking some bbq to take up to the bar. Was up there between 4 pm until just after midnight, good times.
Sunday, drove home to get Sharkgirl and attempt to be productive around the house before heading back to Clemson to have BBQ with another friend. I sure am glad I had my blood work for my physical done last week.

Fri, met fam at Smokin Pig for dinner. Me and McJr watch The Adventures of the Wilderness Family.
Sat - Started working on the boat at 7:30, changed and disposed of motor oil, emptied the boat, warshed and made it pretty, took a lunch break, finished with boat around 2:00.
Then me, wife, and kids, had us a little water balloon fight and broke out the slip and slide.
Sun - Church in the morning. Caught a daggum 31 lb bass on the Wii, broke the old record by 13 lbs. Went to Mom's and enjoyed the pool.

Friday, met Joonyer and Daughter in law at Slow Play Brewing. DIL's mom passed from Parkinson's early Tuesday morning, and they had a gathering of their close friends. Had a few beers, caught up with some good folks, ate a cheesesteak from the Cibi Cibi food truck that was delicious. The youngsters all went back to Joonyer's house, Mrs. and I headed home, watched AEW and crashed.
Saturday, had to head over to RH Mom's for a couple of hours because her weekend sitter is a hospice nurse and had to leave to do an intake. Had a good visit, then back home to hike the pup along the river. Grabbed some lunch, then went to hang out at my buddy's music store for a couple of hours. Hadn't been down there in a while, so it was good catching up with folks. Back home and played bass for a couple of hours, went deep in the catalog to see what I had forgotten but I guess muscle memory kicked in and I was pretty happy with my practice. Back to check in on RH Mom, then home for supper, watched the Todd Snider documentary on Youtube, AEW Collision, then started watching That Thing You Do because it was Tom Hanls day on whichever channel it was on.
Sunday, hike the pup, grocery and errand run, then off to the Thirsty Beaver in the afternoon for the Anders Thomsen Trio. Boys and girls, I'm gonna tell you that if this cat comes around, GO. SEE. HIM. We were blown away by his show...the guy is part Stevie Ray, part Junior Brown, part Chuck Berry. I've seen a ton of great bands at The Beaver, but I've never seen one that excited the crowd as much as Anders did. The people there that had seen him in other places said it's pretty much the same wherever he plays and I was shocked he wasn't on my radar until now. The band is from Savannah, so you Charleston people will opprtunities to catch him fairly regularly. Great covers, great originals, GREAT SHOW.
If there were any deductions to be made, Ander Thomsen show wiped them out, so 19/19 Covids.

we sat on the beach all day long, showered at the house, then went to Lonerider Brewery's location on Oak Island for dinner and to listen to the Rose Hill Resurrection which is a pretty decent Allman Brothers tribute band from Wilmington. Then home to watch Ted Lasso and pack up the house.
Packed up the cars and went to Southport to do a little shopping then drive back home. Unload the car, hit the grocery store, etc.
Wife's family came into town yesterday so I loaded up Big Red and drove her out to Freeman Park among the rednecks where we sat on the beach for the afternoon. Ate dinner at Cape Fear Seafood which was surprisingly REALLY good. I had jambalaya but I think everyone enjoyed their meal. Kids getting adult meals is starting to KILL my wallet though.

overrated but there are some dive bars down there as well that look like they would be cool to hang out at. All you need is a golf cart and you can get around everywhere.
We actually looked into buying a house in Southport BUT the schools were not what we wanted and it is a little too "retiree friendly" in my opinion. I work with a guy whose parents retired to a place in Southport. I might move there one day, but not right now.

Friday, wife of went out with girls, I did yard work Saturday, worked out, watched some baseball, met up with old Clemson roommate and family downtown, was good until son of called from Clemson and said car we just got worked on acting up. Sunday went to church, but service interrupted by fire alarm, evidently had called AC guy, and while he was working on it unit started smoking. Went home, dryer started making banging noises, think I may have fixed, but then downstairs AC went out. Guy we used came out, all was was a capacitor, so $200 later have air again.
So kinda glad its Monday

Saturday - good 7-mile run da mawn then worked most of the rest of the day.

Glad to be home all week this week. Next week it’s a short trip to OIB on Thursday, when ch I am actually looking forward to.
Then it’s back to school or off to college for the kids and APM gone be sad.

I saw my ex at a bar Friday night. It brought back a rush of emotions I haven’t felt in a long time. I had to leave when she told me she was engaged again. I jumped on one of the scooters sitting outside the bar and ended up getting blown up by a pothole.
Once I finally made it home, I put on a bunch of bandaids, opened a bottle of Yellowtail (because that is what we used to drink together) and watched our favorite movie since I still have it on dvd and Netflix won’t let me login anymore.
I woke up Saturday, put on Chad’s socks to cheer me up and contemplated how I can turn my life around to make her jealous. Ended up going out with my buddies and got hammered. Socks didn’t come off until I showered yesterday night.
Looks like Chad Kelly isn’t the only Chad that is winning right now.

Let work Friday hacking, was baffled, thought perhaps just a infection. Woke up Saturday feeling rough, watched the dogs, kids were working and wife was traveling with the oldest. Took our last Covid test, bam, positive.
Still in isolation in the bed, boring af. Hopefully heading to work tomorrow

Was on 'cation last week in Rosemary Beach, FL. Really nice place...fun was had by all...hot AF.
Friday...drove back from FL to Anderson...long drive, but glad to have gotten back on a Friday and had 2 days before coming back to work.
Saturday...Waffle House with daughter-of. Then drove son-of to the Y to meet up with some friends to play BB. Well, those 4 dumb-ar$e$ didn't realize you had to be a member (son-of thought one buddy was member and he was going as guest). So, they were shocked to learn that they can't just go in a play. I drove back up them, picked them all up and brought them back to our house and they played BB and football outside in the oppressive heat. We agreed to invite them all to spend the night...long story boring...they all had fun, played xbox until 4am and slept until noon. Normally wouldn't be a big deal, but son-of doesn't have or get invited to many sleep-overs, so he was pretty happy. Longhorn for dinner with wife and daughter-of.
Sunday...hit grocery store to re-stock and get stuff for breakfast for 4 smelly teen-aged boys. Washed car, helped daughter-of with some stuff, topped off water in pond, moved junk from one place to another in garage, and made Mediterranean Shrimp Pasta for dinner. Watched some shows with wife-of and hit the bed.

and bourbon for dessert. Saturday was mostly lazy. Did laundry and such. Sunday was church. After church we found a wren in our house. Open the windows and shooed him out. Went to see mom and fix her water and she had a new Christmas tree since my tree from childhood, the (then Japanese) lights had stopped working for years. Upgraded to a Chinese tree this year.
Oh, wife took the two youngest boys to Frankie's Fun Park Saturday for some go cart riding and games. Youngest came back with some awful super-sour candy which he proceeded to eat all of it and get sick.
That's about it. Sprayed the beds/weeds with Roundup. Do that every month or two in the summer.
The bird inside was probably the highlight of the weekend.

only issue was that I tweaked my back cleaning up shid from the hayullfire storm that came through here on Thursday I believe it was.
fri - got back worked on, ordered pizza b/c storm had our local pizza joint closed due to damage. drank beers, got baked, drank celebratory bourbons for gettin a PO
sat - little hungover. wife was on AM duty w/ rugrats. made errbody breakfast then knocked out some yard work. finally got grass caught up after being gone for a week and all the rain we've had. been nuts. gotta nuke some weeds this week now
took dawghater2toddler swimming over at neighbor bros pool. she's the youngest out of the 4 hood kids (besides the 3 babies....youngest walker I reckon is the better way to say that) but can keep up w/ em in the pool like it ain't no thing. #prouddad
wife went to a humane society fund raiser w/ her mom and all them Franklin/Brentwood high browed folks. I was solo w/ rugrats for put down for first time....wasn't nearly as bad as my wife wanted it to be ha.
sun - up and early to hit the zoo. home for lunch and both kids crashed TF out. had some lackadayziggal seggs b/c of back problems. chilled in driveway rest of day before cooking us a steak.
weather was finally cooler, slight breeze, less humidity than it'd been in the past few - so we tried to take advantage. unfortunately had to cancel my tee time after throwing my #### back out.

Friday--did 4 hours of yard work and almost killed myself. Made a huge brush pile for trash pickup, so there's that.
The rest of the weekend I only left the house to get food. The rest of the time, I binged all of Bloodline and barely remembered any of it from the last time I watched it in 2018. It was kinda cool to see some local spots I knew though. I wondered what the locals in Marathon and Islamorada thought about it? I wonder if they thought the same about it as we did Outer Banks?

I'd finished welding the small insert I cut for the quarterpanel Friday so I decided to take the weekend off.
I visited Glen who has that 900sf, 12 ceiling garage and we set a price for a monthly fee of $150 bucks a month and a case of cheap beer.
Sunday I worked out how to set the car in the space for all the prep work, removing all the detachable body parts and working them on the tables yet still having room to build a paint booth. I've designed the paint booth structure and veneer along with suitable exhaust fans and filters both intake and exhaust.
I can build it, lights, fans, veneer and all for about $500. My project for a finish date on mounting all the components back on the frame is 4 months. A good man who knew what he was doing could do it in 5 weeks.

Fri - usual evening shenanigans including some redhead things.
Sat - open championship in the morning, barracuda in the afternoon. Help my brother assemble some dining room chairs, then we went to a buddy's house and had some beers and other assorted drinks and food. Played cornhole against a guy and won, bet was $20,000 but I don't think he is going to pay me, lol. Did take legit $10 bill off of him later and made him sign it.
Sun - golf again, two lefties won. My dad played left handed so I have a soft spot for the southpaws, so much so that I married one. Late night Applebee's with the little one and she promptly lost her other upper front tooth when we got home.
All in all, good and kinda tired today.

Fri power came back on at 5:54PM
Saturday emptied the fridge, went grocery shopping. Noticed yet another pinhole leak in the drain line that connects the master bath to the main house sewage line. Probably the result of me cutting a hole in the garage ceiling to fix the last leak.
Sunday the usual. Church, laundry, steak for dinner.
Weekend sippin' beer. Do recommend.
