Unmanaged expectations

Watson was great. Trevor was great. Mentally I'm prepared to give DJ time to mature into greatness. But what if he doesn't need time? What if he comes out great? What if he's better than Watson or Trevor? Could happen. DJ could be the Clemson GOAT. I know that's saying a lot but it's not crazy impossible. If DJ is the GOAT watch out. This thing is going to get fun in a hurry. Go Tigers!

I'll always love Boyd.
We never saw Trevor hit his ceiling.
DJU's ceiling is higher than Trevor's. I'm with you---it's hard not to get excited about the possibilities.

Not sure DJ has the accuracy Trevor has and you can't teach or develop that. They either have it or they don't.

Considering what he was able to do at ND...I don't

think it far-fetched to see greatness this year from DJ.

I think DJ will be better than Trevor, he throws a more accurate ball, barring injuries, will probably be the best to ever play at Clemson.

I disagree. DJ has a Stronger Arm, but from what I’ve seen so far, Trevor has a more “accurate” arm!

TLs sideline throws to Ross where only Ross could catch it were killer against Bama.

He can be great, but hopefully without any unnecessary risk.....of all years, this is the one we need to keep QB1 healthy!

Watson had an ALL WORLD supporting cast. Trevor had some of the same greats. DJ will be working with some unknowns. Especially the RB situation. Plus we don’t know how the o line will be this year. Whether JRoss will be back to previous form or whether the other WRs are going to “take the next step”
We saw the potential in DJ during the ND game last year so it looks good. But it’s the support he gets from the other players that will determine his relative GOAT or greatness.

I was super impressed with how DJ played in South Bend.

That was one of the best performances by a Clemson QB ever.
I know there will be ups and downs, but I believe he's ready. The experience he gained last year was so valuable.

Well he'll def be put to the test early with a new supporting cast playing a top 5 team and a more than likely top 5 defense.
