Love the purple with the white pants but I loved it better when we had a purple stripe in the pant just like the helmet. Never cared for the double orange striped pants Dabo started.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority on that, too. I HATE those all purple things. They look like a bunch of Barnies out there. I'm not a fan of the all whites, either. What can I say, I luh dat urnj.

It doesn’t matter what they wear, it’s how they play that matters. Have never understood the fascination with what color the uniform is. It’s almost a religion with the coots. Of course, they don’t have much else.
Plus, I always thought our official school colors were called burnt orange and Northwest purple. I guess regalia came along about the same time as the woohoo.

i dunno about the time but i would guess they came about when some 1 at Clemson figured out they could get royalties if they trad marked a couple colors. I think there is even a specific white.

Are discussed a lot on the internet today but, believe it or not, they were discussed at least 66 years ago when our own Clemson Tigers appeared in the 1957 Sugar Bowl wearing, what became know as ... Sugar Blues, I guess there was no purple fabrics in those day. , My very first Tiger game and perhaps the first tv appearance. LSU had a pretty good player who scored the winning touchdown late to beat the team from S.C. Few knew about. A kid named Billy (BoomBoom) Cannon. Ever heard of him?

but I think a purple alternate helmet (white paw) would look nice with the purple jerseys and white pants. I know the players and recruits would like it.
