UGA with back-to-back titles is going to be the worst thing

Jan 1, 2023, 12:17 AM

For Clemson Football probably in the school's history. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

That's still not worse than UGA back-to-back titles.

You must not be old enough to remember

Jan 1, 2023, 12:22 AM

How awful that was

^^^^100% agree with you. You people on here that would rather see GA win than Ohio State need to think of the consequences of them winning 2 in a row. It affects Clemson way more than any other team winning the championship(other than the coots of course)

How recruiting is now, Ohio State not having a recent title helps more. Just cause proximity? Everyone said this last year and it didn’t matter in Georgia. They get a lot of IMG guys that Dabo doesn’t recruit because their coaches burned him. They get a lot of guys all over the country, also (as does Ohio state). UGA is going to get who they want, Ohio State are going to get who they want, Clemson has a different style of athlete that they recruit. Just really hoping that kind of player can continue to perform on the National stage, because we haven’t seen it the past few years.

If Clemson would have taken care of business it’s a non issue. Frick OSU!

Lol, no it's not.

I liken it to Florida under Urban. That ###- can't stay intact for long, built with the literal "####" it's sitting on. Kirby just isn't disciplined enough. Soon enough, his version of Percy Harbin will punch a coach in the mouth, players will start robbing Kirby's house just like they did Urban's and the arrests will land on starters in season.

You just can't escape that the "win at all costs" model eventually catches up with any team. It's just historical fact.

Dude, what?

Jan 1, 2023, 12:41 AM

Trying to follow you. I am Orange inside out, but Kirby has UGA rolling right now. Even Saban is sniffing his jock. We have to get in the game or get left behind. Protecting the culture is bs. We had three guys coming from IMG last year until BV left. So we were good down there.

Sure he does. For now.

Jan 1, 2023, 12:56 AM

I'm not talking about our culture, I'm talking about the short game program culture, which won't sustain. They never do.

On Kirby

Jan 1, 2023, 1:09 AM

Seems UGA has less aberrant behavior now than under Richt. My nephew is a big fan and we used to go back in forth.

Seriously, I think while they are winning and sending players to the NFL everybody will be in their best behaviors. Plus NIL at UGA is probably pretty good walking around money. Different now with pay for play. Don’t need to crawl in coaches windows and such…sheesh

LOL! What BS is this? You are a bitter little man and couldn't be more wrong! Kirby's built this machine for the long haul. Get use to it! Clemson will never be Georgia. Gooooooo Dawgs!

Yawn, Probably not, we won two out of three, and ended up with no wide receivers on our current team. You never can predict the future. With the portal the way it is, Georgia may load up on five stars just for them to transfer away for early playing time

It will be. We can finally quit waiving around 2 titles in 12 years as some sort of mountain we climbed and realize the landscape has changed. College football is a business down to player paying now. We could always quit, but I prefer we get good at this new game and drop the Christian Care Bears schtick

Georgia isn't unbeatable. They proved that last night. We just have to get back to where we were previous to Dj. We still croot the hell out of the talent rich state of Georgia. We definitely need some changes starting with Streeter and o-line.
