My personal favorite has been the unis Navy had a year or two ago for the Army/Navy game and they had different ships on the helmets that kind of represented the position group.
Ultimately, seems like a waste of a lot of money, though. But what do I know.
I'm just glad we don't do the orange & purple anymore. Still not a fan of the all purple either, but it works for military appreciation day, though I think it would be cool to have some sort of orange/camo on the unis and keep the helmets the same.

There is a bit of a back story to this. Back in the 70s UCF was known as Florida Technical University. As the school grew, it had become increasingly more diverse, academically. As such, the powers that were decided a name change was appropriate. They considered many names and obviously settled on UCF. However, there were many who championed it being called University of Florida Orlando. They liked the UFO moniker and even toyed with changing the mascot to Aliens.

Interesting, considering there is also a Florida Institute of Technology commonly referred to as Florida Tech (Panthers). Did not know that about UCF's history...the names are so similar.
