Seems that our younger WR’ers aren’t quite as gifted naturally as those two (not including Amri Rogers) with long bodies & jumping ability.
What say you (without being sarcastic).

I say you are worried about a non-issue. I can't think of a team that would not love to have what we have at WR and everywhere else.

I suggest you rush to your Ophthalmologist for a current evaluation . . . or use brighter light bulbs ??
They are both fantastic receivers!!!!!!!

You are expecting them to play like Ross and Watkins in their first year? Those were the only two guys to have stellar first years. Think about Hopkins and Williams for a second and even Tee, non of those three really had amazing first years, doesn't mean they won't develop into first round talent. And I think I've seen enough of both to know they will develop.

Most of us accept LBB for what he is. We understand him.

He is a loyal and fervent Clemson fan with a long history on this board for illustration.
We like LBB and we cut him some slack when he goes a bit contrarian in order to stimulate conversation.
U on the other hand have earned no such latitude.
U should probably quit with your little vendetta while you’re still ahead.

Some (many) of us who mainly just read and seldom post don’t just “accept” LBB, but we also treasure him for who he is and the loyal tiger fan he is. His posts are always genuine and never attacking. His tiger bonafides are and should never be in question. His posts are the first I read.
He poses a great question here. My take, as others have mentioned, is we’ll be fine at WR on the outside, but who will be our next slot guy who can beat safety coverage over the middle, have short area quickness for 3rd downs, and burn the edges on jet sweeps and screens? Who will be the next Renfrow/Scott/McCloud?
On my way back from holiday break I was wearing my Clemson t-shirt in dirty dawg territory. A mountain of a man approached me at the gas pump and asked what I thought of his little cousin, #3 Artavis Scott. We shook hands and had a nice talked about Clemson fb. What a quality guy, not surprising at all with the character of the guys Dabo recruits.

Ngata and Ladson are having to sit behind Tee and Ross.
They may not turn out to be on a level with Nuk and Sammy, but the situations are a bit different at this stage.

Nuk WAS our offense his freshman year and I don't know if his numbers turned out amazing but it was clear that he was going to be a great WR.
Sammy had an electric freshman season which overshadowed Nuk, who was still awesome.
Ross came on late to have a great freshman year. Tee's freshman year wasn't amazing numbers wise because he had Kelly Bryant instead of Deshaun or TL.
For my money, in their limited time, Ladson and Ngata have both shown flashes.

Actually I like this question. We have had such incredible talent at WR it’s fair to wonder what’s coming down the pike, particularly with DJU in line.

I’m more concerned about finding another Renfrow for critical drive extending 3rd down catches.

Ladson has looked like a future Star. NGATA has gotten the hype but hasn't shown me anything GREAT yet... but he's young. I think we are going to be fine at the 9 man Boundary receiver for YEARS. My question is why don't our slot receivers seem to be utilized better. I would LOVE amari to get more slant/crossing routes in the offense like he did in the last Drive. Our Route tree could use some adjustments in that regard...and I wish we could get a 6'1 burner type like Jaylon Waddle or Jerry Juedy, but our offense doesn't use them well. I thought Arian Smith was going to be that, but sadly he chose UGA. oh well. Its obviously being nit-picky but that's what we're supposed to do.

Trust in the coaches man. They know exactly what they are doing. Also, those guys got some valuable experience in limited action this year and they played well. Those snaps are going to pay dividends. If we needed them to play bigger roles, they could have. We just didn't need them to. There is only one ball to go around. Ngata and Ladson will both end up being high draft picks and you'll be left wondering why you ever question the process.

I think the coaches deserve a bit of criticism for getting our hopes up with both of these guys. There was talk in the spring/summer that they were ahead of where Ross was as a freshman when that clearly hasn't been the case this season. I'm sure they will be great and we will be fine but I do agree that its unfortunate we are getting the #1 QB recruit to pair with Trevor next season and we missed out on some of our WR targets. I mean who, exactly, is going to throw Henderson the ball at Florida and why did we let him wiggle off the hook? Regardless, I'm sure we will be fine and the guys we have will develop into contributors in meaningful games, not just blowouts against the other teams scrubs.

There has been a progression of WR talent on our team over the years. Several years ago we would have one "go to" WR and several other good but not great WRs. We've had no "Renfrew" type clutch receiver this year. I thought Rogers would be that guy for some reason he was not used that much. There is a wealth of talent in our receiving corp but right now Higgins and Ross are our top two. We can't leave those two sitting on the bench whewn their presence on the field is critical.

Joe, I think Amari’s recovery from the knee injury was a big factor. Since he’s wearing the brace for support, I can imagine it’s difficult to run the precise cuts and change in direction that we got so used to watching Renfrow perform. My hope is that he can continue his recovery and go without the brace next year. That will be his chance to show scouts he can be a dependable possession receiver.

I agree with your concern, but we have to remember that Ngata and Ladson are true freshmen. They will get stronger and better this off-season and be great next year.
Plus, Tee is coming back and Ross will be healthy.

Look for Ngata and Ladson to be very solid. Will they be as good as Tee and Ross? Doubtful, but you can say that about almost any two receivers anywhere.
The OL and safety are my biggest concerns for next year.

obviously there's going to be some drop off losing Muse and K'Von, but they'll be serviceable and the DL will see an uptick to offset the loss IMO. I expect Terrell to leave so we will need Booth or Goodrich, preferably both, to step up and be more consistent and the back seven will be pretty set. There is no replacing Isaiah Simmons ever so we will have to do what we can at the flex spot.

We are in good shape! I remember how excited everyone was when Ray Ray and Deon came. Though I love both those guys and they were good, we are light years ahead of that. Higgins and Ross are good receivers and it makes it tough for guys like Ngata and Ladson playing behind them to get quality time. They will prove to be awesome. I am super pumped about EJ Williams and Ajou Ajou! Ajou Ajou is already developed and is a big receiver. H will shock a lot of people

Higgins seemed to underperform much of his freshmen season and then came on late. Ladson and Ngata have the physical talent. I would expect them to come on as they get experience. Experience is harder to come by than Tee's freshman year.
