The situation he laid out has not happened. They would absolutely leave out an undefeated P5 team if they preferred the other teams. You're saying Clemson would absolutely get the nod over a 1 loss SEC champion Alabama? Yeah, right.

A one-loss SEC champ Bama will have to have beaten either Georgia or Tennessee to get there.
Tennessee has to get past Georgia just to face Bama again for the title.
The only one-loss SEC team the committee will take is the SEC champ.
They’re not taking two SEC one-loss teams and leaving out 13-0 Clemson. They’re just not.
We control our destiny no matter what else happens.
Just win and things will sort themselves out as the season progresses.

The committee always talks about picking the best 4 teams, regardless of everything else. That could uncle a lot of comers this year. Mischigan, Tennessee, UGA, BAMA, USC. It’s not automatic that and ACC champ gets in.

October. and by the time the final rankings come out what do you know teams like USC have lost or another team gets upset. A power five undefeated will be left out as soon as there are five of them, no sooner.

That's not true. Look at Michigan today. Similar to use, had early PROBLEMS WITH the OPPONENT, They WENT AHEAD. but THEY KEPT MOVING, BLEW THEM OUT. We DID NOT. Y0U DON'T THINK SITUATIONS LIKE THAT AREn't IMPORTANT TO THE COMMITTEE? of COURSE IT IS, THEY HAVE SAID THAT EXACT THING INTHE PAST.

I am, and pretty confident in that. There has been no precedent that an undefeated P5 team gets left out of the playoff.

Do you really not get that it matters for the playoff committee? There are 4 slots, and their favorite team just got 1 loss. The media Darling USC have a good shot at winning out if they beat the Utes.
So in a month, we could be looking at:
1 loss SEC champ Alabama: They're in.
1 loss SEC runner-up UGA or Tennessee: They're in.
Undefeated Ohio State: They're in.
And then undefeated Clemson, undefeated USC, one loss Michigan, and one-loss SEC East runner up UT or UGA.
How confident are you that the Clemson we watched tonight will get into the playoffs over all those other teams? After seeing how the media dog-piles on how bad the ACC is and Notre Dame is bad this year so we won't have that signature win, I'm not.

If we go undefeated, and play that way, we are definitely out. That may be the very thing that changes Dabo’s in game coaching and start winning by 30 plus points

If there are 3 undefeated conference Champs SEC runner-up doesn't get in. Conference championship is a factor in deciding who goes.
