been appointed, including Donald Trump firing Republican James Comey and appointing Christopher Wray, who he just fired in order to install Patel.

I did not know that until today.

He is a Republican appointed by Trump who was forced out before the end of his term.

If Christopher Wray had not resigned he would, undoubtedly, have been fired. However the fact remains Wray was not fired - he did in fact resign just as in the same light that Tommy Bowden resigned and was not fired by Clemson...

The term I believe you are referring to is Democrat. There is no such thing as a Democratic Party or democratic politician. Democrat party and Republican.
