One Parent Families are not ideal.

Folks marry and split. Good or bad, that is the way of the world.
Folks say they are all in forever, and then bail when things are not perfect.

Being a fine example of a human male, I got to choose from many.
I was young and so of course chose beauty (as did she?).
Once she was mine, I have been through hell (many times) to ~~~~
I guess she has done the same.
We fight daily for who is alpha.
Divorce is a common word with us as is the term (don't let the door hit you where the Lord split you).
Today she is not happy, and that is above my pay grade.
I will protect and support her. She will stand with me.
Our politics are 180.
The deal is I know she needs me (does she think the same?)

I’m 37, wife and I married 18 years. We had a lot of bad years and tough times but we both went in with the “all in” mentality and now we are closer, love deeper and best friends. I would put my marriage against any in the world and it’s because we went through those hard times and grew our love.

The sad facts are that the correlation of men in prison, for violent crime, and with death sentences has stayed in the high 60 percentile for the past 25 years, or since it has been researched. This is the same across all racial lines.
Thank LBJ for his misguided war on poverty where federal welfare workers went door to door specifically in impoverished black neighborhoods and told mothers that they would be paid if they didn’t have a man in the house. Stir in force

Tip of the iceberg
I have been to many homes where a decent Grandma was doing her best to raise the kids. Drug mom shows up demanding the kids so she can get the government checks.

I was 27 she was 19. We married six months to the day after our first date. Overall it has been smooth sailings with few rough waters. Four children, ten grand kids, and 5 great grandchildren. Just celebrabrated our 65 anniversary in April. We are lucky but it requires dedication and serious effort with each having breathing space to pursue their specific interests. It can be done.

We have been married 38 years. Dated for 3 years and waited until I only had one semester left at Clemson so we could afford to be on our own. Been some really good times and some really tough times. I just believe you do whatever it takes. Especially once kids are involved. I don’t care if people decide to split up if they have not brought kids into the equation. Once you’ve done that the commitment becomes even more important.

My advice to anyone, is find an old fashion girl and marry her immediately. My ex-wife was what you would call a more modern woman, partied her arssa off in college was more of the independent type. Our marriage was a disaster other than our kids who are great. I’m Dating an old fashion lady now and so happy. She places value on things like honesty, connection good conversation and loyalty. Unfortunately this is hard to find a day

We will be married 57 years in November. We were babies when we married but with a lot of help from family and friends we have had a wonderful marriage. Being kind to one another is vastly underrated.

it seems more to do with men abandoning their accountability when they knock up a woman. Because 80% of single parents are mothers, and the two primary causes are the man taking off, and incarceration.
