much more...it was THE game of the year before FSU. The school are so close to one another...both had their high tide year only a year apart. Both were going after the same kids that were the difference makers. Both loved football more than anything. It was by far and away the game of the year.

It's simple we cheated to win a "National Championship in "81" and got 3 years probation. They cheated just as much to win a "National Championship" in "80" and got away with it because of Dooley's pull in the NCAA. Plus I have been to too many games between the hedges where Georgia got a mystery penalty(Danny Ford called them a "I did not catch the number play" for what the umps said when he asked who did it) against the other team on a touchdown, long-gainer, or sack.

We're in the elevator of the hotel when the doors open and a drunk, fat, scruffy looking man in his 40s wearing nothing but swimming trunks walked in. He sees all of the Clemson orange, doesn't say a word, but gets up in my face and starts barking. I'm not kidding. A grown man barking at me. The elevator doors open back up and he steps out and says "go dawwwwgs".

In 1989 I am sitting in my buddy's van with five other Tiger men and we are taking a swig of Patterson family stump juice before going in the game, when 6-7 Jawja Co-
Ed boys come into our tailgate area where women and children are enjoying the festivities. There are a couple of teenage boys in our group that do not partake in the stump juice ritual on big games. These Co-Ed boys announce to our women, children and boys that they will whip any Tiger #### that will step forward, real men I tell ya. About that time I step off the van and I am not a small fella, at that time I was in great shape from all the lifting I did. The spokesman of the group sees me and says bring your butt on out here, so I do and before I get to him my friend that owned the van stepped out and he was 6'2" and 285 with a bench of 520 lbs and all natural farmboy. As I cold-cocked Big Dawg he grabbed the first guy he came to and body slammed him on the ground, that ended the event with Dawgs running off with tails between their legs!

we pounded them all day and lost on 2 plays by Scott Woerner (int and punt return). Killed our season and propelled them to the MNC. We eventually deflated them the next year but that was the hardest loss to any team I have ever endured. That came 2 years after they ruined our chance for a perfect season in '78.

full of beans. We ate butter beans the night before, srambled eggs for breakfast and pintos for lunch (all intentional). When the game started the dawg fans knew we were there. I think we could have played the fight song. Some left their seats gagging. We beat the 17th ranked leg humpers that day 7 to 6.

UGA fans actually tried to open my car doors while we were stopped in traffic on the road in Clemson.
