relief negotiations, which is interesting considering he's not a member of Congress and doesn't have a say in the matter.

Re: I think he tweeted that he was shutting down COVID

Oct 6, 2020, 3:21 PM

Yup. That's exactly what he did.

Even Mitch McConnell has the "wut?" going on this one.

A bored Donald Trump on Twitter is a menace to the world. Somebody seriously needs to take that phone away from him before it's too late; the man has nothing but time on his hands right now.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Doesn't seem like that would be a very popular strategy

Oct 6, 2020, 3:23 PM

Maybe I'm missing something.

I think COVID relief is something that the people generally want by a pretty large majority.

I meant in the sense of a Congressional relief package.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.

Why aren't people flying?!?

them so. They have slashed available routing, so they're at 30%. If people would buy more tickets, they would add more trips back, but people aren't - even with flight tickets the lowest I've ever seen them.

"you nerds"...I flew to Denver two weeks ago, and to Pensacola last week...

There is certainly a downside to having a pathological liar

Oct 6, 2020, 4:08 PM

as POTUS, and a WH team in place to follow suit and regurgitate. It's one thing to write off Trump's steady stream of total BS as hyperbole, until you really need to decipher what's true or not when faced with an actual crisis.

If you were Charlie Brown, would you trust Lucy to hold the football while you kick?

Some of this, especially with Delta

Oct 6, 2020, 3:57 PM [ in reply to Neat, airlines have been open, and are only at 30% capacity ]

is a company policy. They called my flight full and it was barely at 1/3 full, so I get that number could be skewed due to company policy to keep everyone healthy.

I think we need to remember American and Southwest and United....they are just packing people onto planes.

I am Delta loyal and this has solidified my allegiance to them for my flying needs.

Now, hopefully I can board on Thursday at 10am.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Delta capped their flights at 65%, correct.

Oct 6, 2020, 4:05 PM

Still doesn't change what I'm saying, the passengers aren't there.

Delta did just up their cap to 75%.

I didn't say that. I don't know what he's trying to do, except just what the tweet says. He says he wants them to focus on SCOTUS confirmation, and stop on COVID.

Not sure why they can't do both.
