A child indeed. Has his administration pressured social media companies into what information can be dispensed yet.

Yes, Trump has placed pressure on them which is why they did it
Feb 14, 2025, 6:11 PM

It doesn't have to be a phone call or an executive order for Trump's full control over the federal government to make companies feel "pressure" to go along with whatever reality he puts forth. It's why they donated to his inauguration and sat behind him, it's why all these companies are shutting down things that even have a sniff of DEI or equality. They are scared or want to gain favor with Trump, which is "pressure".
And as we know from the hoopla surrounding the Twitter files, Trump will also directly ask for posts on social media to be pulled same as he did in his first term.

I fully agree that they can kick whomever they want off, as a private company. But, don't try to say you're for free speech as you do it.

That's the paradox. That is them exercising their free speech rights
Feb 14, 2025, 6:42 PM
|
|
as the argument goes, "free speech doesn't mean free from consequences." They have the right to say how speech is handled on their own platform and it's not like it stymied Trump's free speech. It even led to him creating another failing business that's only propped up because of his cult following. Capitalism and free speech working wonders.
And it's not like any of these sites still aren't censoring their content, so I'm not really sure what the point of this tangent is supposed to support.

And freedom of speech only applies to restrictions from the government. Originally, it only applied to the federal government.

Nice grammar. Umm...nah. You don't want Trump being questioned or being asked tough questions. Got it. Your cult leader is a big boy. He should be able to handle it. Apparently he can't. He needs special treatment.

He may be approaching more airtime than Biden had in 4 years and he's already far surpassed Biden in answering questions.
