too much on their service/speed/scale. Never lose sight of your product...ever. Their burgers suck. Fries are still good though.

McDonald's to focus so heavily on marketing to the Afican-American community in the last several years. No other fast food chain has so narrowly targeted that market segment. What do they know that the rest don't...or did they miscalculate?

What product does McD that is the best in its category?
Jun 9, 2014, 4:51 PM
|
|
the fries are probably the only "best of" product they sell and I'm not sure how many will travel to McD just to buy fries.
I'd guess that the majority of McD's business is breakfast which was why them cutting it off before 11am was always stupid. I hear they are changing that time which is a long time coming

at least I've never seen one. (There used to be one around UNCC, but I believe it's gone now)
I've always thought whomever is the first to open a franchise here would make bank.

We have pretty much every other fast food chain except Hardee's. I know they exist elsewhere in the state (chapel hill has many) but they seemingly aren't allowed in Charlotte.

and their biscuits are more expensive than the competition. BoJ's, Hardee's, or a gas station bagged sausage biscuit all beat out McD's.

I'll also hit BK for burger and McD for fries.

I go there more than I should and I always wonder why when I leave. Without a doubt, most of your franchises hire the absolute lowest common denominator of worker.
It's one thing to have a moron back there working the fryer or cleaning the stainless steel pans or doing other repetitive work, but there are so many mentally deficient, anti-social spaz's working the registers and putting together the orders that it's pretty much an enigma at how the places make any money or generate any business.
$15 an hour? I'd pay for the commensurate price increase that would bring at Chick-Fil-A or even Taco Bell, who hires from the same pool but somehow knows how to train their workers. But everytime I leave McD's, I feel like they should have paid me to come there. That's the price of laziness, I guess.
