Just scored tickets for the new Hub City Spartanburgers team for the Sunday, April 27 game against the Greenville Drive. So the weekend looks like this...
Friday, April 25 head to Durham for the Tri-City Chili Peppers Cosmic Baseball Takeover of the Durham Bulls ballpark. In case you've never heard of Cosmic Baseball...

Saturday, leave Durham and drive to Clemson for the Savannah Bananas game (tickets secured) and accompanying pre-game tailgating.
Sunday, head back toward home, stopping to see the afternoon game in Spartanburg.
IT WILL BE AN EPIC BASEBALL WEEKEND.

like you choose the $200 level (West Zone/homeplate), the $60 level (baselines), or $40 level (outfield) and they assign seats after all the tickets have been purchased. Joonyer got ours, so that's what I understood the procedure to be.

The whole crazy exercise is intended to keep the tickets out of the aftermarket.

I'm sure it's not foolproof, but it probably does cut way down on resellers getting scalper prices for the tickets. I'm not sure there's any added benefit to the $200 level beyond seats closest to the action, but we felt like $60 tix were good enough and $40 tix were too far away. Hard to say being that I've never been to a baseball game in Death Valley.

I'm betting they get it off the ground rather than deal with a major refund snafu though. Definitely let me know if end up going, but grab tickets quickly because it looks like they've sold a BUNCH...for that game, anyway.
