Keep hearing a talking point on ESECPN that Clemson faced a Bama defense without their best edge rusher or cover cornerback in the title game. I know Corey Miller's kid was the edge rusher that was hurt but who was the cornerback? I remember Smith getting both his ankles "broken" by Ross in the 3rd quarter but the game was essentially over at that point.

Did they go both ways?Bama’s offense was anemic thanks to our D.As John McKay once said when asked about the execution of his offense’.”I’m in favor of it”.

Good thing we weren't missing our starting 1st-round pick DT, and our most athletic TE, or they might have kept it within 3 scores.

Did they also remember to state how LSU hasn’t faced an opponent that didn’t have major injuries?

Negative. Matich was simply trying to support his position that Clemson is not prepared for OSU because Trevor Lawrence has not faced a defense as good as OSU (due to the injuries Bama was dealing with last year). Even with Miller out last year, ESECPN was calling Bama the greatest college football team of all time. Am I to believe OSU is now the greatest college football defense of all time? No doubt, Chase Young is good, but Tony Elliott is a genius and will be able to gameplan a strategy that will minimize Young's impact on the game. And unless Jeffrey Okudah figures out how to clone himself, he won't be able to cover but 1 of our extremely deep wide receiver corps.

Ross was equivalent to Superman, patted Savion Smith on the shoulder with 2 fingers and broke both his ankles. Really amazing talent for a freshman.
