Who would be on it?
Obviously Frank Howard, Press Maravich (he almost brought his son here), and Cliff Ellis. Who else?

just follow me down there. There were many students that hated the thought of standing all game so there were always spots to fill. Those were the days and standing under the backboard was awesome.

in the late 2000's? He was a good friend of mine, IIRC he went back and for a couple of years after for random games and would always get invited down, but I dont think it was longer than that.

Took Clemson basketball to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1980 (the year I graduated HS) and went 3-1 to make the Elite Eight. Also beat #1 Duke that year and finished 23-9 for what was maybe the best season in Clemson basketball history. Oh, and I went to Daniel HS with his two lovely daughters Leslie and Laura.

You have to put our all time winningest coach on there.

Brad Brownell has:
-Most wins all time -Most ACC wins all time -Best ACC winning percentage all time -Most NCAA Tournament wins all time -Best season in Clemson basketball history (will be best seasons after this year)
I'd also put Cliff Ellis, Bill Foster, and Rick Barnes on there.
I liked Purnell but his lack of postseason success hurts him. If I were going to put OP on there, it would be instead of Foster.
Press Maravich didn't have much success here. His claim to fame is that he was Pistol Pete's dad.

I actually would disagree on Cliff Ellis. He was a great recruiter and full of himself and drama king but not much of a Coach strategy wise. He pretty much recruited talent and threw out a basketball. Brad Brownell would have taken his teams to the final 4.

No coach deserves until they win something. Being at Clemson a long time is not getting it done.
