Tre Lamar (Beast)

I know Kendall Joseph is solid but Tre Lamar continues to improve quickly and looks every bit the 5 star billing. That being said what would be the over/under for him starting by the Louisville game?

Just saying, I'm sure signing Lamar as a five star sweeney wasn't in his living room telling him he will have a shot to be a career back up if he comes to Clemson. Joseph is good but no where near as talented as Lamar. He will be starting by the time we play Louisville.

Joseph is probably going to be our best LB this year, but Lamar will see a ton of PT because Venables loves having fresh bodies on the field. Same with Chad and Shaq. Joseph will be the starter because he knows more about the defense and is currently more versatile. But I wouldn't be surprised if Lamar got 30-40% of the snaps this season.

game if Joseph is playing well and injury free. I wouldn't think he'd be a career backup either and remember Boulware leaves after this year so the weak side would be open next year.

Highly unlikely he starts over Joseph (who has been more than solid), but will leave as possibly our most heralded LB barring injury. He's a monster who is a student of the game and a worker to go along with the 6'4"+ 240+ Pound specimen he is. Gonna be fun to watch a lot of these kids, but I am as excited about Tre as any of our players.
