50/50 Passes

I remember discussions of TL throwing a lot of 50/50 balls. The general response was our receivers made 50/50 passes 80/20. DJU threw a bunch of 65/35 passes last night. Catchable by the receivers, but not really by the defenders. The receivers made those 20/80. Not blaming them. The passes might have been late in arriving; defenders in good position to challenge, etc. But the passes were there to be won. And they weren't.

I wasn't happy with the first-half play anymore than most of us. Between QB/O-line/WR/Offensive Coord we looked pretty weak. I thought the second half was much better, and could have been even better if 2/3s of those passes had been caught. I'm sure the offense knows it has to get its act together. I hoped that it would show up last night. They have a couple of weeks.
