To all those people that think this team is good

That think we’re not bad we just haven’t put it all together yet.
During the game they showed a statistic. Only six teams in college football have not had a wide receiver gain 100 yards in a game this season.
Clemson is one of them.
We have not played a single team with more talent than us. Notre Dame is the only one that comes close but we have more talent than them and they have a first year head coach and a second string quarterback that can’t throw the ball.
Again, Not a single receiver has gained 100 yards for Clemson this year.
Denial.

Well, first off, I don't think there's anyone one on this here bored that thinks this team can win it all this year. This team does have many flaws, BUT, we're 9-1. Truly "bad" and fundamentally flawed teams don't do that, even in the ACC. It's certainly an improvement over LAST year, at least. Enjoy the wins. Stop acting so spoiled...

We have top-five talent playing against terrible teams. Our strength of schedule is like 58th in the country. But we have playoff talent! I remember when Muschamp was 9–3. Looks great on paper. Go look at the teams they played and who they beat and who those teams played and beat. You think just because the number looks pretty on paper it means something. It doesn’t!

Ughh....according to the recruiting rankings we don't have top five talent. No Clemson fan that I know thinks we've played well. In the end it is W'and L's that matter. We're in decline from 2018 sure but our problems have mainly come from lesser performance at QB and WR. We went 20 years without an ACC Championship...I'm not jumping off a bridge over 8-1 but you can. See ya

You would be wrong. I don't think that we can play the way we have and do it, I think that we need some help just to get there, but yes I still think that we can win it all this year.
As for the statistic, it is a product of the play calling, particularly in the second half when we are ahead. It is tough to have 100 yard receiving games when you are going to need double digit receptions to get close.

We lack fundamentals at many positions. And we are incredibly undisciplined.
Clearly you one of those people that only care about a W and a W/L record. The actual quality of the product on the field clearly doesn’t matter to you. And clearly you’re OK with the decline of the program, because making a mistake, the program is declining. And it’s obvious in the statistics and the numbers if you actually took the time to look. But you don’t want the truth.

I would agree that our coaches are not getting it done right now. I agree that the program has declined. Even so, there have been flashes, and I see a possibility that we can get it together. We can hope for better, and still recognize that there are issues.
Outside of UGA and OSU, is there any other team that you are intimidated by? TCU is 4th and they barely beat a Texas team that couldn't get out of its own way. I don't think Ewers had a completion to his team until the 2nd quarter. I don't think that we would match up well with Michigan, but if everyone in the top 10 were to play each other in a round robin, I think that we end up with a better record.
I do not think that we are an elite team anymore, but elite by definition limits it to a few teams. I also think there will be a team that is not elite that wins it all because teams often make the playoffs that are not elite. Eventually, one will put it together for 2 games. Why not this year? Why not us?

His frame of reference must be 2020-2022 since he joined TNet in 2020. Unless he was someone else before that. Not having the Hootie Ingram, Ken Hatfield, Tommy West (sorry Tommy, I did like you) years to compare to, he is missing perspective. This year's team may not be as good as 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 or 2020 and have several areas that are holding them back but I still appreciate 9-1 and playing for a conference championship!!

I hate to break it to you, but the Tommy West and Tommy Bowden teams were not this fundamentally bad. They were not this poorly coached. The ACC was better in football then and we had less talent than plenty of ACC schools.
Tommy West was a heck of a coach. Those teams were pretty fundamentally sound. They just had a bad offensive scheme and not much talent. Kid Hatfield won an ACC championship with Danny Ford’s players, but recruiting went downhill fast after that.
That last ACC championship of that era, 1991? That was the last above average and somewhat dominant offensive line we have had! And those players were recruited by Ford.
I put in another post that I haven’t seen teams this poor fundamentally since the 70s.

Aren't these in the coaches job description? And isn't this what you are complaining about?

Look at 2015 & 2016 and 2018 OL and offensive production, and the long runs pass blocking! Gallman and Etienne did have holes to run through. 2018 had a 10 min drive, longest in Clemson history, against Alabama with mostly runs.
Yes, I would like to see a more dominate line, better QB play, and a more open play book but I try to keep it all in perspective.

The talent level is not where we have been and we are asking 2 first year coordinator’s to make them 2016 or 2018.
Give me a break not all of us are in denial of the deficiencies and we unlike you are pulling for the team to get better.
