… stars are assigned after thorough analysis.
The recruiting gurus obviously did not devote much time or effort to analyzing Nolan Turner in high school. Same for his younger brother Cole.
They obviously can’t see every player.
Thankfully our coaches (Dabo in particular) saw their potential.

on here that take every opportunity to bash Dabo and how our culture has been built & how that culture is the difference maker . . . .
"More Dabo nepotism - kid gets a scholly because his Daddy was Dabo's buddy and Dabo made some lame death-bed promise" . . . . (not really a direct, specific quote - but a summary of the sentiment of the very vocal who don't get it - we are doing it differently.)
Dude intercepts to close out the o31o st game and takes snaps in a regular season NFL game . . . .
What you say now, vocal maroons ?

Wow. Pretty crude thing to say. Just shows how much some people want Dabo and Clemson to fail. I say...GooooooooooTigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have an inflated since of their abilities vs the actual coaches. It's easy to throw daggers without repercussions when you just sit behind your keyboard. It's difficult to actually recruit and coach.

Anyone who couldn't see that Nolan was a really good safety was just ignorant.
I'll confess that I got frustrated though at times with how much coaches kids and 2 star walk WR's got snaps during some games in mop up duty.
Most of my frustration was born out of the fact that we had a slew of injuries at WR and no depth at 2nd string or even 3rd string. My only wish was those 2nd string and 3rd strong players got more reps and opportunities during games. It seemed 4th string, walk ons and coaches kids were the ones getting more snaps at the end of easy games.

good luck on getting the naysayers to show their face. I guess if Duke scores first, they will appear in droves on the game chat.

I really thought Nolan developed into a solid player. He struggled at times as a younger player but learned his position and improved each year. Best of luck to him in the NFL or elsewhere.

Agree. Good solid college kid that beat the odds and evolved every year. Just not quite NFL talent. You only have a 53 man roster. Tough sledding.
