Congratulations. 27th is good. You have to figure it's like wake or Duke in football, it's hard for them to get ranked. Then coupled with highest acc team a 3 loss uva at 13. Said all year, ACC is there for the taking... kinda like football was in 2021.

I don't think anyone thinks we should've been ranked higher than about 21 or 22. So you're complaining that we aren't 5-6 spots higher? Meh. We aren't a blue blood and haven't beaten any ranked teams during this run. What do you expect?
I thought we'd crack the Top 25 but didn't realize that those losses were as bad as they were. Our ranking is 30 spots higher than our NET which is pretty dang good

I get that we aren’t a blue blood, and I get that it factors in. I also think it shouldn’t matter even if it does.
I also think if you just swapped Duke and Clemson records Duke is still ranked where they are and Clemson isn’t.
I think men’s cbb more than any sport helps the blue bloods even more than CFB.

I have watched and supported this team for 40 years and it will take some time and some convincing wins for them to earn any respect. 10 years of disappointment and subpar performances are evident in the voter's opinion. Winning will not be the only thing this team has to do. They will need to do it with style and deep into the schedule to be seriously considered.

I feel the same way. I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop! Watching the Pitt game reminded me of how bad Brownell is in early second half. It’s like they are searching for offense and it is not very consistent. Off the top of my head we were 50% from the floor first half. Second half was abysmal. The player combinations at times leave me scratching my head. I get our talent isn’t elite. Effort is. These kids fight. Brownell has shown he can’t win consistently. He has to show it before we get the rankings we deserve. This could be the first time in ACC history an undefeated team in the league wasn’t ranked with 5-0 record. I get it. It’s the BB in the room. I still pull hard for our Tigers and WANT to believe. I’m not there yet, just like the pollsters

That's bc our basketball is like our football. They can beat most teams they should, but they can't win the big games. If Brownell can figure out how to win some of those games the pollsters will take us more seriously.
