Mine and your gut are telling two different stories bc mine is telling me that we get this one, and 10-A-C loses out with Mike Matthews to Clemson to begin his ride to something special happening with our Clemson Tigers, and he wants to be a part of it!!!! Go Tigers, it time for Mike Matthews to be seen wearing the orange or white Paw!!!

I was hoping he'd wait until the season so we'd have an opportunity to show offensive improvement...
The word (from elsewhere and those in the know on this board)....Matthews loves Clemson but has concerns about our offense...
I think our offense will be great this year...Klubnik (more experienced) + Riley...It's a shame we won't have the chance to show Matthews before he commits..

We just got one of the best OC's in the country and an extremely talented qb. Thin at WR which just means more PT for him.

The "concerns" about our offense are being manufactured by the negative selling from the other schools. Since we have no history with our new offense, and a QB with only 1 start, they can get away with it for now, but not for much longer...

I mean, there were, without question, concerns with the offense the past two seasons. Bottom offenses both seasons with pretty weak defensive schedules. We can turn it around for sure this year with Riley and Cade, but to say concerns are manufactured is silly.

I just don't see Matthews being some stupid young kid that hasn't been able to see what Garrett Riley has done with offenses that hasn't been on the same level as Clemson, and I believe that he knows that our offense is going to be special with Garrett Riley on that side of the ball!!!

My bet based on recruiting history we move on a secure another that is all in now.
So the real question, is if we are great on offense this year would he have second thoughts and want to be a Tiger.
If so do we then accept him with a full class including receivers?

Thing with Matthews is he's considered an Athlete, so it doesn't really go towards the WR class...even tho that's where he'll more than likely end up. There's always room for top athletes on any team late.

For 5 stars, the payday is an absolute factor. To say otherwise is naive. The college football dynamic currently is a bit like MLB, but with less hindrances. At least MLB players get locked into K's. Imagine if NFL teams could have unrestricted payrolls like MLB - the Chiefs would be a bottom half team. Mahomes and Kelce would be playing for the Rams or Giants. The richest owners could, without question, buy a Super Bowl.

Mike Matthews appears to be a fine young man with a lot of potential. We pray that he chooses to commit
to Clemson, who is referred to as WRU (Wide Receiver University). I recommend that he talk to present NFL Receivers who played for Clemson; including DeAndre Hopkins (D-Hop), Tee Higgins, Mike Williams, Justin Ross, Hunter Renfrow, Sammi Watkins, Ray Ray McCloud, Amari Rodgers, and Joseph Ngata, to name a few. He would make a great member of WRU, maybe the best yet. Whatever college he chooses to attend, we wish him the very best.
