By no means am I some sort of D-Line expert, but it seems a waste to have this kid in a 3 point stance. At that height it slows his reaction time.

He is extremely raw- honestly I would probably try and put him at TE- the big boys in CFB will get right underneath him and push him out of the way or pancake him- hard to play DE at almost 6’8

Raw is right, and tall.
He sees the field well and has a great wingspan to make tackles and keep blockers off his body.
Bulk him up in the weight room, and coach his technique, and he could be a monster at DE…
Coaching, desire, and development will be his key to his success.
Not a Day-1 starter, but should develop into a special player. Great potential.
Smart kid, coaching at Clemson will make him successful….

Agreed, you can't coach height so he has a great frame to work on. Should easily put on 25-30 lbs and be 6'7" 260.

In his recruiting profile...it says he grew up playing soccer...that probably means he's relatively new to football....
He's raw but with a high ceiling...
A lifelong soccer player also has the footwork and lateral mobility that would make a great offensive tackle...if things went in that direction...
Regardless he needs some time in the weight room before we'll see him on the field.

Indeed, if this guy can retain his speed and agility while gaining weight, developing toughness, and mastering the details of blocking & blocking schemes, he might develop into a monster TE. Or maybe into a star OT.
Maybe into a stud D-lineman like Calais Campbell.
It will take a lot of work, we’ll see if he’s up to going through the grind of becoming a great FB player.
Love it when we take a chance on players like this every once in a while.

Why isn't Clemson offering top midwest OL recruits headed to Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, even North Dakota St, etc. -- some would jump at the chance to win championships with Dabo and team at Clemson.
