If the ACC Network had chosen someone a few years ago, it would have probably been an FSU shill which now would look embarrassing and with both Clemson and FSU wanting to leave, who carries the banner and toots the ACC horn? Other than Clemson and FSU, the ACC is toothless and when both leave, it will be near AAC level in football.

viewership doesn't exist compared to the SEC schools.
Finebaum's show is a huge success because of the comedy of nut jobs calling in and the overwhelmingly large viewership of SEC fans and others.

Like him or not, Finebaum is paid to do what he does and does it well which is the point. Dabo is right, an ACC Finebaum would be a great idea.

All he is saying is that you have to get some "sizzle" going to generate ratings and get a singular face/voice to rep the conference nationally. The ACC network does not have that now and currently has about as much sizzle at a manila folder. If they were smart they would set Packer up every afternoon to run a show in a similar format to F&^%baum only with more intelligence and class. Packer was great with his national XM call in show - just televise it and kick it up another notch.

Wow. If this is true and Dabo really wanted such a “character” it does help explain his complete lack of judgment in influencing who the Clemson radio play by play man is. Let’s not forget that Harvey Updike, a poisoner of innocent trees in an attempt to steal joy from people he hated, was a prime example of the quality of listeners spawned by Finkboom. No thanks and you may show yourself out.
