7th isn't bad. Better than Coaches and AP. However, as conference champs, I'd still put us above Bama and Tenn.
Shows how much they love the SEC that two without playing in the conference championship with the same number of losses and one less win are above us.

I think we should be above Tennessee. They were put in their place by UGA and then had a really bad loss to SCar that was, IMO, far worse than our bad loss to Notre Dame.
But they weren't going to put Tennessee below Alabama because of the head-to-head. And Bama's losses were both last-second nailbiters so they weren't going to put Alabama below us. If UNC had been Top-10 and we beat them with the same score...maybe. Probably not, but maybe.
Between the 3 teams, there's not a combination that would accurately reflect everything above, so the SEC got the benefit of the doubt. I think they got 1-4 correct, but really 5-6-7 could just easily be a 3-way tie for 5th. Not much consolation, but I don't think we have a lot of room to grumble.

Disregard all that. I missed that the playoff committee did indeed put Bama ahead of UT. In that case, I definitely think it should have been #5 Bama, #6 Clemson, #7 Tennessee.
I guess we and UT will be fighting out for who's the real #6. And rooting for Bama to lose the Sugar Bowl.

Nah, we beat Tennessee, we'll finish 5th. And jump Bama no matter what. Bama has one win over an overrated Texas team.
Trying to keep the pac 12 relevant with the number of teams. The conference is not that strong. And honestly, uga has to be dancing with the 4 teams in. Osu, 1 ranked win. Tcu is a gutsy team and the qb should win the Heisman but they couldn't compete with uga defense.

Especially Alabama! Who have they beat. The lost to LSU they got beat by FL state and Tennessee and you know that connection with us we only lost by 1. So in reality” it just means more” for ESECPN’s bottom line to rank them ahead of us!

This is completely fair. I feel that if we would’ve beaten South Carolina we could’ve slipped in at four, but maybe not

If it came down to us and OSU, we would have a conference championship going for us and they would have a win over the only team who would have beaten us and their loss would have come from the #2 team in the country. I'm not sure which would have swayed the committee more but unfortunately, we will never know.

Had we beaten the Coots, we would have been a one loss Conference Champ and would have gotten in to at least the 3 spot. Sure wish Cade would have played, we were a QB away from the CFP.

But despite all of that we still could have, and should have, won the game, but our stupid coaches kept letting DJ throw the ball, rather than handing it to our backs!!!!

I think there would have been a good chance for Clemson to move up to #4 if we had beaten Scar and won the ACC Championship.
