Have I gone back in time to the Hatfield-West Era after reading those stats. Well, like my favorite midnight movie from the early 80's always said, "Let's do the time warp again!"

The Defense is outstanding. Thank you BV and Defense. The Offense with 2-3 exceptions is untalented and uncompetitive.

Don't you know it's unfair to use statistics on TigerNet? If you prove something using facts and stats you'll get called out as a Coot or not a real fan. How dare you. LOL!
But in all honesty numbers don't lie and it's jaw dropping to see them in writing. But if we listen to the coaches for the first 5 games it was "we're just a play or two away". Then starting about the 6th game it's injuries, bad luck and penalties.
Which player gets the ball from the center on every offensive play and does something with it? That player has limited options. He must throw it, hand it off, run it himself or get sacked. All those lowly offensive stats have one player in common.
For the life of me I can't understand why Dabo has coddled him and protected him and defended him (even throwing receivers under the bus) more than any other player in his tenure.

Lets face it. We had a "worldclass" QB in Trevor and they forget about recruiting while Watson and Lawrence took care of business. The concentration was on defense and other areas. Now we have no QB on the team and the game depends(and our offense depends on the QB. I think DJ is a good kid and an average athlete. His decision making is way too slow for Division I speed. He is a terrible passer and below average runner who had a good press agent (his High School coach).Lets be fair. He's better than our bench availability!Have faith. Help is on the way for next year.

Thinking speed... I'd say that hits the nail on the head. How many times over the years have you heard a coach compliment a young QB's progress by saying "the game has slowed down for him"? Has anyone said that about DJ? I haven't heard it. What we are seeing is a good young man with solid physical talents, but who may not ever catch up to the speed and complexity of the game at this level. It seems to me that about half of recruiting busts involve character, and about half involve this kind of issue. Sorry to say it, I like the young man, but I don't think he's got what it takes to excel at this level of competition.

Our offense doesn't do a single thing well

Basically every relevant offensive stat is in the 75th or worse tier, and many of them are much, much worse (100+).

Missing opportunities; Sorry I don't think our offense knows what an "opportunity" is! However missing a receiver by over throwing ,or under throwing a a pass is something I would definitely define as "missing".
