Wr position is definitely a huge question mark. It would seem that our TEs and RBs will take up a big portion of that slack. Always remember CJ on some of his routes down field

As excited as we are about our recent WR commits, we need to remember that Collins, Randall, and Williams were all just about as highly rated out of high school.
I think we’ll see those guys begin to live up to their promise this season and WR production will begin to return to,the level we used to enjoy.
More creative coaching, better QB play, and hopefully fewer injuries are going to make it happen.
Our glass is already half full, and the tap is running … Go Tigers!

The biggest X, Y, and ZEE factor will be Cade Klubnick.

A truly great quarterback makes all around him better. And, as we have seen the last couple of years, the reverse is also true. Cade holds the keys to either our return to greatness, or our continued descent into mediocrity.
I believe we will be BACK in the upper echelon this year. I wish the season started tomorrow, but still lasted until mid-January.

I hope so. We've seen flashes of greatest from Cade; I'm hoping Riley can really bring it out of him.

Cade will be fine! Just keep the parts around him working, and he will spread the ball around. He is not a one man show.
We have great running backs and tight ends, along with some quality wide receivers. He needs to get them the ball 98% of the time. Our offensive line looks good for 2023 too! QB runs between the tackles is not Cade's game, distributing the ball is.
Go Tigers!

I am convinced that an offense is as good as it’s weakest link. That’s because opposing defenses will target and exploit weaknesses. Right now it’s two things, WR and OL.
We have seen most everyone at OL and WR who is coming back. There have been injuries but who is expecting Beaux Collins to be a 1000 yard receiver this year?
I believe our hopes rely on Riley to get the play calling straight and developing Cade. He’s got the talent.
I am hopeful! Go Tigers!

The 3 X factors offensive linemen, tight ends and running backs who block. No blocking equals no production.

Absolutely.
Davis Allen was a beast of a blocker. We really need for Briningstool to keep improving in that area.
Shipley transformed from a matador to a hard nosed blocker during 2022. Mafah is a stud blocker. I’m confident that both will be even better this year.
Boy oh boy would it help things if T.Leigh is ready to play well at LT. The good news for our OL, assuming that in his first year of T.Leigh’s major action, is a reasonable expectation that B.Miller will be a lot better at pass pro this season. If LT turns out to be the only soft spot on the OL, then maybe we can still have a strong offense.
CK2 has shown that he is good at rolling to his right and throwing with good enough accuracy. That skill may negate a slow start at our LT position … if indeed T.Leigh isn’t fully ready to excel at LT right out the gate.
(I do have a lot of optimism about T.Leigh once he gets some live action under his belt.)

I was hoping Leigh would make a big impact as soon as he came in. It was a huge deal that we got him. Hoping he comes into his own this year.

WR's are definitely talented, just need to see them locked in this season. Consistent passes within their catch radius should be enough motivation to stay locked in all year.

HEALTH HEALTH HEALTH & more HEALTH is the X-Factor for this offense! Clemson has been hit at WR/OL these past 2 seasons more than any team I can remember in recent memory! The truth is Clemson had only one WR over the past 2 years play the whole season healthy and he was a true Freshman (Antonio Williams) last year! Throw in the OL has not had 5 starters start and complete a whole year since 2020 and all of a sudden the fall of the offense is understood. If we can see this team stay healthy, (especially Collins and Randall and the 5 OL starters), then you will see the offense return to top 10 in the country.
The same rings true on the defense. Xavier Thomas, Tyler Davis, Bryan Bresee, Trenton Simpson, Andrew Makuba, Tyler Venables, Fred Davis, Landon Zanders, all were either lost for the season, missed significant time, or played thru injury and was clearly not as good as past(Andrew Mukuba). Even with both Units missing key players for most of the year both 2021 & 2022 still won 10+ games. Keep the starters healthy and on the field and Clemson is a threat to win every game. Lose the wrong players at the wrong time and this team will be the same as the last 2 years. Good not Great!
I for one love this team and think it will surprise many outside of Clemson, SC. I think this team will be the Georgia of 2021, good but unnoticed at the start, but clearly head and shoulders above all at the finish line! Go Tigers!
