I haven’t really had a chance to check him out yet, but I love the size. I know I’m arrogant about this stuff, but my record kind of stands for itself in recruiting
Everyone misses because you can’t really factor the kids desire to be great which means work ethic and heart, plus the old ‘it’ factor.
Once, I saw this incredible high school talent that as a WR he just had the ability to take over games and place his team on his back. He high jumped nearly 7 ft and long jumped over 25 and I never saw it, but he supposedly ran something like a 10.2 100. Basketball was a dunk fest for him
He did have a good college career and was a high draft pick by maybe Detroit and the guy turned out to be something of a bust.
This is where my story gets bizarre and I never knew this until he was playing disappointingly in the pros. They said he never worked out with the team and was never seen lifting weights. Not sure how he got away with it, but he was lazy and a goof off which didn’t show up until the pros.
Somehow he got away with it.
He was the exact opposite of Hunter Renfrow.
Back to this prospect, does he want to be great? Seems like Trevor Lawrence always just wanted it and maybe Watson, as well. They also had that ‘it’ factor.

Are you saying that MAYBE Watson wanted to be great?? He led us to back to back National Championship games against the presumed greatest cfb team of all time (at the time), broke the 5 game rivalry streak on one healthy leg, and legitimately positioned Clemson to be back to back national champions...
Watson's desire to be great is unquestioned...

No, that’s not really what I’m saying. I liked Clemson a long time ago, but that faded when Bowden was there because, frankly I didn’t care for the family or FSU and all that hypocrisy.
When Dabo was hired I then was in Greenville and I really became a closet Clemson fan. But, I really loved ya when Watson arrived because I had seen him in high school and thought he was the stuff.
Obviously you’re right about Watson
My arrogance is only about recruiting and not your program, sorry.

The statistics tell you about this potential recruit's on-the-field skills. The fact that Notre Dame is after this HS junior speaks to his character and academics. Notre Dame recruits high quality on and off the field players, as does Clemson, but academically perhaps up a bump because that is a high quality academic institution with extreme selectivity in student selection, whether athletes or not. He would be a good fit at Clemson based on his aspirations, and clearly a great catch for the football team.

Amazing number of passes that were placed where the receiver could get them, but the CB could not. His a lot of windows and appears to have a strong arm.
